PRECAST TUNDISHES

A tundish is a molten metal transfer vessel typically used between a furnace and the actual ingots or parts being poured.   This unit may contain dams, weirs and filters to help purify and control the metal before entering the casting.  High-Temp provides precast refractory tundish units ready to install and preheat for use in metal holding boxes.  These can be manufactured out of various refractory materials depending on the application. Many have dams, weirs, filters and nozzles installed by High-Temp Inc.  We also supply refractory wellblocks, impact pads and coatings used in steel tundish boxes.
