BREAST BLOCKS

A refractory breast block is a large cast refractory shape, usually 6000-10,000#.  This shape is inserted into the breast or slag out area of an EAF furnace.  It spans the rear door and can run up the sides.  MgO castables have been the most successful for this application.  High-Temp Inc can supply your shop with these shapes and engineering for design.
